About Chas Belov

Chas Belov is a webmaster and playwright living in San Francisco, California. He is a member of the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco, Theatre Bay Area and the Dramatists Guild of America.

He has completed (inasmuch as any play is ever complete) two full-length plays, Rice Kugel and Hemlock, described on my mature content blog, The Lark’s Nest.

Rice Kugel (mature content) received a staged reading at the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco.

Hemlock (mature content) also received a staged reading at the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco.

He has also had a 10-minute play, On the Last Day of the Week in the Seventh Month of the Year in the City of Brotherly Love, with a full production at the Exit Theatre, produced by the Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco.

Full-length works in progress include the alternate history drama My Visit to America, the avant-garde The Beginning of Grammar and the horror story Evil Fan.

He is an avid theatre goer. To get a sampling of what he has seen, hover over the theatre links in the right-hand column of this page.

Finally, he is grateful to the actors and directors who have worked with him in developing his plays. For those who have acting websites or directing/production websites, you can learn more by hovering over their links.
